Jets actively shopped Revis in Indy

07:48 AM ET 02.27 | Just because Jets GM John Idzik didn't find the time to meet with Darrelle Revis' agents at the NFL Combine doesn't mean the corner's name didn't come up. [A] source said he did manage to squeeze in Revis trade talk with multiple teams in Indianapolis. Despite the damage control talk from Idzik and Rex Ryan in Indy about how much they value Revis, the source told the Daily News on Tuesday that Idzik was "actively" shopping Revis at the combine, and interested teams are now doing their homework on what it would take to get Revis signed to a new contract. ... Idzik is basically flying solo on the Revis talks, with Ryan and other members of the organization (other than Johnson) out of the loop.

Teams will find out that it will take a lot to sign Revis to a new contract. Most probably won't want to pay him that much plus whatever the Jets want for him in a trade!

Let's see, a guy in the final year of an overpriced contract, with a history of holding out and coming off a season-ending knee injury.
I can see why they are trying to trade him, but I can't see why anyone would want him.

It's beginning to look like Alex Smith will be valued more than Revis in potential trade value. Talk about irony.

Let's see ... are NFL teams shopping for a diva who will destroy the locker room? If so, Revis is a good choice, I guess. Maybe T.O. (aka "Mushmooth") could find a job, too?

If the Redskins salary cap wasn't being held hostage by the league I guarntee you Danny boy would open up the wallet. Washington's secondary was ranked right behind Wyoming Tech's last year.

I think it has something to do with Revises agents. Remember yesterday the Jets said: " We do not wish to talk to the agents of Revis ", having those agents around would have put a damper on the Jets surveying the demand for Revis. Now if the Jets plan on keeping Revis they have an extra bargaining tool, they know what other teams are willing to trade for and pay him. And that amount is $_____ per season.

The man is 28...
The market will determine his asking price.
My guess is, if he wants to play for $$$ he will go to a desperate and crap team...if he wants to win, he will sign for a bit less and still be a stud for years to come.

How is Revis a "diva"? And what locker room did he destroy? He was not only the best player on the team regardless of position but one of the more respected players on the team. He is still top tier CB in the league, Sherman needs to do it for more than 1 yr before he can claim the crown...
