Look.... you can only go so far in squeezing water out of a rock. Philly has played above their talent level all year so it's only natural they bottom out at some point. The law of deminishing returns has kicked in. This is pure natural phenonmenum.

Don't go crazy coach... it was bound to happen. Just like age catching up to Celts.

Good comment -- I think Collins was saying something similar. I heard him talk about who they've traded away (3 players) for "nothing on the court" from last year.

I've said for a long time that Doug Collins knows the game basketball, and is a severely nice guy. His best fit is TV analyst, not coach. You can't run around dispensing NBA love unconditionally and expect to be an effective head coach. The man's will has the strength of a wet wash cloth used to dab the tears of weeping children.

I thought he did a good job last year -- winning record ... and had a decent start this year. But I think the wheels have come off the bus.
