Knicks cap Stoudemire's minutes

07:53 AM ET 02.27 | Amar'e Stoudemire was given yet another opportunity to play the role of consummate pro and teammate Tuesday and again passed with flying colors. [Stoudemire's] ceiling was immeasurable when he first entered the NBA and began establishing himself as an elite power forward. But all these years -- and knee surgeries -- later, Stoudemire's ceiling, as determined by the Knicks' medical staff with some input from Mike Woodson, is the same as your standard television sitcom: 30 minutes. Think of Stoudemire now as a "Seinfeld" rerun with a better jump shot but not quite as funny. "That's fine," Stoudemire said of the minutes restriction. "I have no problem with it at all."

Amare is really playing like Statamire. You give him the ball and he gets you good STATs. If the coach has a brain he'll bench Shumpert and cap his minutes.
Woody's priorities are messed. I look forward to seeing him fired if he doesn't do anything about the starting 5.

Woody is fine...he can only work with what Glen has given him...Shump cant play the 3 at the moment ( which is where woody has been using him)..start him at the 2 and give him a short leash

I totally agree with you. It's clear Shump can't handle the 3' spot. Even at the 2' he does not have the creativity and smart shot selection that a shooting guard in this league needs to have. He has to be 15 - 20 minutes bench player.
Watching him play it's clear he's overmatched and outsmart on both ends of the court. His large presence is ruining an otherwise special season.

BENCH HIM WOODY... what's hard about that!!!

Stat should be capped.........until the playoffsthen what will be will beHe has played good, efficient Osure he plays no D, but that is not new & not going to change, but as a 2nd unit player- its not as imperative agree with the above....its dumb to continue playing a 6'4 guy at the SF. Bench kidd- let him play with amare, start copeland or kmart and go to a more traditional offense- there is NO REASON to play small ball if we're not running

Alas common sense is not common to common coaches at common times in the season... man let's fire this coach already...

Maybe his balls are small.

And Shumpert lays bricks to make them bigger

I think the Knicks are a better team WITHOUT HIM.

They would be better off dealing him, if they could find a sucker, and get pieces that fit on the team.

Melo, Amare and Chandler just never have seemed to be a good fit.

George was a chucker and so is Amare

They tried to give Amare away (for nothing) within salary cap requirements in the off-season -- no takers.

I am having a laugh looking at Knick fans starting to shout for Woody to be gone :-)

Happy for Amare though, guy's been tarnished a lot for someone hurt. Good on him to put some stats out there!
