Jennings: Who wouldn't want to play in Dallas?

07:53 AM ET 02.27 | There is, of course, a lot to like about Milwaukee point guard Brandon Jennings, who is averaging 18.9 points and 6.1 assists per game this season. He's the kind of young talent the Mavericks might covet with their pile of free-agent cash to spend this summer. In fact, they were linked to him before the trade deadline. If so, the feeling seems to be mutual. "Yeah, of course," Jennings said when asked if he could see himself fitting in Dallas. "Who wouldn't want to play in an environment like this every night? You've got an owner [Mark Cuban] who's so into his team. Every time you see the Mavs, you see him cheering or going crazy. They won a championship. They're about winning."

Don't do it Dallas. The guys a bum. Only plays well for the one season when his contract/employment is in danger.

It'll be funny if the Lakers amnesty's Kobe and Howard still leaves to pair with Jennings and Dirk in Dallas. The future sure looks bright for the Mavs.

Dallas does have cap room. They will go after Howard first, Josh Smith, Jefferson and etc after.

Kobe.

A pg that doesn't make his teammates better isn't worth big $and this dude is playing where he is offered the most $$$$

Jgb,

Jennings is not an efficient PG at all. 18 PPG is misleading when he is shooting 40% from the floor. He was the only PG in that draft that was is coming up due that didn't get an extension before the contract was up. Curry, Jrue and Lawson all received extensions before Jennings and before their current contract ended. So Jennings is a little mad about that.

What he says is what I've read from other players also -- they really like an enthusiastic coach with money to spend. (and he takes care of players/facilities, etc)

And Cuban doesn't go overboard (apparently) with sticking his nose in coaching decisions.

I am so glad we didn't pull the trigger on the Smith trade for Jennings. Teague needs a longer leash to improve, he's shown a LOT of improvement this year.

Dallas will be dumb to give him big dollars, Collison isn't that much of a different player, infact a slightly better play maker, and can be cheaper than Jennings.

As far as ATL, Smith walking away is a travesty, and I been saying this for 2 years to trade Smith while his stock was up. They waited until desperation. Dumbness.
