08:00 AM ET 02.27 | The SEC just may be weak enough this season to have made the Gators look good. Florida has been downright dominant at times this year, but against good teams on the road the Gators seem to be a different team -- a much more beatable one. The Gators' latest stumble away from home was predictable Tuesday because it happened at Tennessee where Florida has struggled mightily in recent years. ... Florida lost in Knoxville for the seventh time in its past eight trips falling 64-58 to the surging Vols. The loss will undoubtedly knock the Gators out of a possible No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. It also might lead some to take a second look and question whether the Gators are as strong as they have looked at times.

This could be the year that the 12-16 seeds could do a lot of damage to the so called elite of the tourney..........no clear powerhouse stepping up....watch out for Belmont....they could be the real deal this year....

The Gators have struggled with injuries to key players, so if we can get healthy soon, then we can get things rolling. We'll have to see how that goes.
Congrats to the Vols, they always play the Gators tough no matter what the rankings and records say.

The NBA has taken quite a few good players from other schools and conferences, besides Florida and the SEC, in the last 4/5 years!!!!

Too much emphasis on seeds; To get to the Final Four and win it all great teams must be beat. What you don't want is to be a 4, 5 or 6 seed facing a nearby Mid-Major that can bring a crowd.

Agree....enjoy watching programs that have juniors and seniors on their roster.....more of a team concept.......
