03:52 PM ET 02.27 | The New York Knicks announced Wednesday that Rasheed Wallace will have to undergo foot surgery to repair a broken bone. He will be out for eight weeks, ending his regular season run and his career in the NBA, once again. The four-time NBA all-star and NBA champion with the Detroit Pistions, retired in 2010 after a NBA finals stint with the Boston Celtics. He came out of retirement to play alongside the Knicks. With the Knicks, Wallace only played in 20 games, averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds. The Knicks won't remove Wallace from their roster, as they hope he can contribute in the playoffs. Still, it's unlikely he'll return in time given his age and lack of time remaining.

I didn't watch the game... did Shumpert start? Playing a team that had played the night before and also without their all star... this should have been an easy game for us.. yet it had to be difficult... how many points did Curry hang on our guards... hehe

I don't know exactly how this should have been an easy game for us as Lostwill so foolishly stated. I mean if JR, Chandler and Melo don't show up like they almost always do, the Knicks will continue to go into a tailspin. Look at Shumpert's STATs and tell me why he continues to start... 1 for 6 with a 29% field goal percentage...

Yeah he could have gotten a surgery in december and would have been back by now and ready for the playoffs.
