08:11 AM ET 02.28 | Part of "Joba being Joba" means that Joba Chamberlain might fill some silence with noise. So it came as no surprise Joba used a public forum after his first spring outing to say something he himself admitted would cause a spark: That he could start or close. ... What was more interesting was the way in which Joe Girardi and Brian Cashman dismissed it, treating Chamberlain more like a child and nuisance than anything else. ... You know what that screams to me? The Yankees have Joba Fatigue. I think they see him as a constant risk physically and verbally, and they will try to drain 60-70 high-level appearances out of him in 2013 then let all the drama that has played around this pitcher exit through free agency.

He's doing them a big favor by taking some of the attention away from A Rod.

Joba fatigue? I'm more fatigued by these endless Joba threads.

This article is just silly. If Joba pitches well, he'll likely be back next year. Joel Sherman posits that the Yankees will let him walk next year because they already have strong righty relief. If that was the case, they should trade him this year.

This is purely the speculation of Joel Sherman who apparently doesn't have anything else to write about.

Two days in a row? Are you kidding me?

Would I keep Joba and let Joe walk? you bet.

Again with the Joe bashing. Did he pee in your cornflakes, or something?

Hey. They have to come up with something to justify their pitiful existence.

He will pitch out of the bullpen this year, it will be what it will, and that will be that. Then he can roll the dice in FA.

Good luck with that Clem. Not as bad as they used to be preparation wise but you're glad when they're over with another 5 or 10 years before the next one.

The prep is the worst part. The procedure is a piece of cake. I'll be asleep.
