08:14 AM ET 02.28 | From so many corners, the critics have come out to roast the very body -- and its president, Mark Emmert -- charged with policing college athletics. Their critics, growing louder and in number, included a governor, state senators, lawyers, academics and university presidents. ... Asked whether he ever feared for his job security, Emmert dismissed the question as irrelevant, saying criticism was part of the job. "I don't think anyone could have predicted the number of issues that have surfaced," he added. "The frustration is you take two steps forward on the reform agenda and something explodes and you get knocked back. We're making great progress, but it has been much more tumultuous than any of us expected."

I just laugh at these people who think this is only a recent occurrence.

And that it has only happened under Emmert.

The sweeping rule changes which allow much more of what used to be called "cheating" with regards to recruiting ... that is all on Emmert. No other NCAA president has ever taken it in that direction. They've all been incompetent when it comes to enforcing the rules. Emmert is different in that he changed the rules to make it easy on his incompetent team of investigators and enforcers.

I almost feel bad for Emmert. I didn't realize being corrupt was that tough.

Emmert's ego is too big. He'll keep putting his foot in it until it goes BOOM!
