Nash doesn't regret signing with Lakers

05:31 PM ET 02.28 | When the Phoenix Suns made it clear that re-signing two-time MVP Steve Nash wasn't an option last offseason, the Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks made their offers to the point guard. But as the story goes, the Los Angeles Lakers came in behind the scenes to secure a deal that would keep Nash close to his children in Phoenix. They worked out a sign-and-trade with the Pacific Division rival Suns at the request of Nash, and though the season hasn't gone as those in Los Angeles would have liked, Nash maintains that he's happy with the situation. That has included a lesser role and potentially no playoff berth. "Ten out of 10 times, I make the same decision again," Nash told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday. "I've gotten to see my kids probably four times as much as I'd seen them if I'd have gone back East. That's first and foremost. Second of all, it's a great experience to play for the Lakers organization. ... I'm happy here."
