12:43 PM ET 02.28 | Pressed against the salary cap, the Dallas Cowboys took the first step to clearing cap space by restructuring linebacker DeMarcus Ware's contract, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. According to Schefter's report, $5 million of Ware's 2013 base salary will be converted to a signing bonus which will create $4 million in cap space next season. That is a significant number for the Cowboys, who were an estimated $20 million over the salary cap before the deal. Although the deal will help Dallas next season, it could have some serious ramifications in the future. Ware already had high salary cap numbers for the 2014 and 2015 seasons, and Wednesday's deal could increase those.

I was just reading some of the postings on the previous thread about why people hate the patriots and my hope for the future of eastern portion of this continent is almost gone. All those dunder-headed Patriot fans like Rex Racer make me laugh and make me happier being me. Enjoy your asterick Pats fans and all the love that comes with it!

It's time for the big fire sale at Valley Ranch. We could probably get 1st round picks in exchange for Ware and Romo.
Miles Austin is worth a 3rd round pick.
Dez would probably bring a 1st rounder, maybe a 2nd.
Mo Claiborne .... 2nd round.
Sean Lee ... 2nd round.
Jay Ratliff .... 3rd round.
Jason Witten .... 2nd round.

Blow it up Jerry. These guys have talent and deserve better than what they can achieve in Dallas under your flawed leadership. Blow it up and get some value for these guys while you can. Going 8-8 is not that hard. You can do it with younger cheaper players.

......or ........

keep these players and get out of the way ... then watch them win a championship.

Not a Cowboys fan or hater, but the estimation of thier value is a bit high. Some of these guys have some high mileage and price tags on them...especially Ware, Witten, & Romo.
