01:21 PM ET 02.28 | In a move to save salary cap space, the San Diego Chargers are expected to release defensive tackle Antonio Garay according to Ian Rapoport. Garay has been with the Chargers for four seasons, but is likely to be released due to his salary. Garay was scheduled to make $3.5 million plus a $1.5 million roster bonus in 2013. Garay, 33, only played in eight games, starting none, in 2012 with one sack and 16 tackles. In 2010 and 2011 he served as a starting defensive tackle for the Chargers putting together two fairly productive seasons. He is best known for his wild and colorful hairstyles seen on the Chargers sideline. Garay was a sixth round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2003 out of Boston College, but played sparingly until his 2010 season in San Diego. Garay can serve as either a 3-4 defensive end or a defensive tackle.

Looking at his numbers, he might have passed his expiration date...

Atleast he's got his looks...

Denver, this is not the answer for defensive tackle. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Or that Ronco spray on product?

Seeing that he's got 'some' versatility on the D-Line and thinks more about his appearance than his game - I could see Rex going after him

Nice beard...as a parting gift maybe the Chargers can give Mr. Garay a mirror......

I wonder how much money he paid to have that done. It makes Mike Tyson's facial tattoo look a good investment.

Whatever that is it's bizarre.

It's a beard with temporary die. He's got a "stylist" in San Diego that gets him ready to play each week. Should have spent the money on a trainer.

Wasn't that guy a villain in the movie Wild Wild West? He's put on weight since then...
