01:28 PM ET 02.28 | Former Chiefs and Cardinals wide receiver Steve Breaston visited Cleveland on Wednesday, but it doesn't appear he will be signing with the Browns for 2013, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer. The wideout, who has a 1,000-yard season to his credit, was released by the Chiefs earlier this month and is now on the free agent market. Breaston didn't play much in 2012, and was inactive towards the end of the season. He caught just seven passes for 74 yards on the year, the worst output of his career. That was the culmination of a downward trend in efficiency from previous campaigns. After logging 1,006 yards on 113 targets alongside Larry Fitzgerald with the Cardinals in 2008, Breaston hasn't seen nearly as many passes come his way. He's also not been as productive with is opportunities. That 2008 season netted 8.9 yards per target. Breaston then dropped to 8.7 and 8.2 YPT in the successive years with Arizona.

Not fair to gauge production with the Chiefs...Jerry Rice would have had a tough time catches 60 balls from those rag-tag QBs they had!

He was pretty good from what I recall, but he had Larry Fitzgerald as a decoy.

He was pretty decent in Arizona. I hated to see him leave.

With him and Bolden leaving and Warner gone the Cards took a huge tumble. Larry got double teamed all season.

Breaston needs to go to a team with a decent QB and a need for receivers.

I'm surprised he's available, seems like he'd be a great WR3, maybe a stretch as a WR2.

Plus the O-line has steadily gotten worse each season.
