05:45 PM ET 02.28 | NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman joined North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for a Harlem Globetrotters game in Pyongyang on Thursday. One of the more weird decisions by Rodman, whose lifelong list of weird things is quite substantial, the two reportedly grew a bond during their time spent together. VICE media founder Shane Smith, who was traveling with Rodman to film part of a TV series, told the Associated Press that Un hoped the meeting would be a step in the right direction for the United States and North Korea despite Un's firm political stance of opposing the United States. "We knew that he's a big lover of basketball, especially the Bulls, and it was our intention going in that we would have a good will mission of something that's fun," Smith said. "A lot of times, things just are serious and everybody's so concerned with geopolitics that we forget just to be human beings."

If for some reason this opens up North Korea and helps bring peace to the Korean peninsula. I'm all for it. Stranger things have happened in the past.

Who would have thought that the US ping pong team visiting China would help open up that country?

Somehow - I have serious reservations that the Worm is going to be a catalyst for peace.
