Revis in New England?

08:04 AM ET 03.01 | A nightmare scenario for Gang Green would be to watch the Patriots make it to Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium, then, five weeks later, have Bill Belichick announce the signing of free agent cornerback Darrelle Revis. It would be out of character for Belichick to sign a big ticket free agent, but his contempt for the Jets is so deep and his need for a shutdown corner is so great, that it would not be shocking if he used some salary-cap creativity to structure a deal for Revis, especially with the extra cap room Tom Brady's contract extension opened up. ... "It's not that far-fetched," an NFL source said on Thursday. "It would not shock me if he's in a Patriots uniform next year."

Revis in New England?

I seriously doubt it.

The Pats have bigger priorities.

Yeah, I don't see it happening, but the premise is funny

I don't know. Revis is a loose cannon, and if he feels like he's being mistreated by the Jets' management, he may sign a one-year deal with NE just to stick it to his old team, win a ring, and then go back into FA.

Do they give rings for winning your division? Beyond that, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

He seems to feel that the Jets dissed him when they didn't immediately renegotiate his contract. Bill will gamble and Revis could be a huge upgrade to their secondary. I could see it as a one year tryout to see at what level Darrelle can play at and to possibly win a ring. If it all works out, big money from some team for Revis the following year.

Revis, Freeney AND Ed Reed... disgusting.

Revis wants to get paid.......And other than Brady......they don't pay the big $$$$

The Niners have more money available.

No better chance that they stick with Talib than sign him. His mouth is way to loud for the pats

Talib may not want to stick with the Pats.

This is for NEXT year. What makes the writer think Revis will even be a Jet at the start of training camp THIS year????????

He's been quoted as saying that he enjoyed playing for the Pats.

Mistreated by J-E-T-S management? That's funny. All NY has done is pay this guy handsomely and endure holdouts and threats of holdouts. He's under contract and no team in their right mind would extend a player who just had major surgery on a knee. If Revis thinks he's being mistreated, that's his inner-diva do the thinking for him.

As a JETS fan for 40 years, this is about a dumb as article . Ive read, the management has done some dumb things but please, don't just write to waste time. And if by chance you are right! Which is a chance in hell! I will become a Patriot fan!!!!

Revis is a good cover corner but not very physical and a below average tackler.
