08:13 AM ET 03.01 | Welcome Elvis Andrus to the hall of ballplayers who have missed time with a unique ailment. [Andrus] was scratched from Thursday's Cactus League game against the Cleveland Indians due to muscle soreness in his left arm caused by a new tattoo. Andrus was given an off day Wednesday after playing consecutive games earlier in the week, and he apparently used some of the downtime to add new ink. ... "Elvis has been working hard, and having another off day isn't going to hurt him," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "He'll be ready [Friday]." The tattoo filled most of Andrus' left arm from shoulder to elbow, so it isn't surprising he is experiencing soreness. The image features a large face as a tribute to his late father.

Exactly my thought. If you have to get a large tattoo like that, why would you do it during Spring Training? Just plain stupid.

I'm telling you all right now, if you want to get in on the wave of the future you should develop a way to remove tattoos. The current cultue of covering the entire body with ink will make you filthy rich 30 years from now when all of these people are old, wrinkled and spread out and their tats are faded and inscrutable. It's going to be one fugly generation.
