01:58 PM ET 03.01 | By releasing the two players, the Cardinals are now estimated to be about $5 million under the salary cap of $123 million. Bradley and Gay were signed as unrestricted free agents over the past two years to plug holes in the lineup. Bradley signed a five-year deal in 2011 that would have paid him $30 million had he completed the contract. But he couldn???t beat out incumbent Paris Lenon the past two years. He fell further down the depth chart last year and played most on special teams. Bradley took as $2.5 million cut in pay last year and was due to make $5 million in salary in 2013. He was returning from his honeymoon in Australia when he was informed by the team that he was released. For cap purposes, the Cardinals still have to account for $2 million of his $5 million signing bonus.
