Bengals lead NFL in cap space

05:53 PM ET 03.01 | Now that the salary cap has been finalized at $123 million, the money available under the cap... doesn't change much. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Bengals remain roughly in the $54 million under the cap neighborhood, followed by the Cleveland Browns ($48 million), Miami Dolphins ($47 million), Indianapolis Colts ($44.5 million), Philadelphia Eagles ($33.5 million) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($32.5 million).

Cleveland was never a cheap team....should really get your facts straight. Under Lerner they spent money but never hired the right people. However, under the last regime, GM Tom Heckert was doing a great job building a team using the draft. That combined with the restructuring of NFL payrolls so that ALL the money did not get spent on unproven draft players has allowed them to stay under the cap. Last year Cleveland was by FAR the youngest team in the NFL. That is why they have a good room in salary cap.

I know your just trying to pick a fight with Browns fans, but the Browns have never been cheap. The only really big contract they have is the best tackle in the league, Joe Thomas. And I'm sure they'll pay Haden huge money when he becomes a FA.
