Giants' offer not good enough for Kevin Boothe

08:35 AM ET 03.02 | Kevin Boothe started all 16 games last season at left guard and wants to return -- he has spent the past six years with the Giants -- and the Giants want him back. Thus far, though, the contract offer is not enough to keep Boothe from hitting unrestricted free agency and, on March 12, the open market. "We've had positive conversations on Boothe," his agent, Joel Segal, told The Post. If Boothe, 29, receives a better deal elsewhere, the Giants will have to scramble to replace him, as there isn't a proven guard currently on the scene.

Must be a huge gap!

If he wants to return - it's pretty simple then.

He will be a good pick up for somebody. Versatile, capable and stays on the field, but for the writer to think he cannot be replaced is over evaluating his talent. He was picked up a few years ago after being cut by the league. Good news for Diel, he has been a guard masquerading as a tackle for years.

He just Booted himself off the Team, see ya, their are a lot of options!!!

Boothe is good not anything more, just a good solid player. I knew he would want too much money, this might be his last contract and he wants to get as much as he can. He can be replaced, not that easily but he can be replaced. I am hoping the Giants cut more cap and go after Levitre.
