Auburn dismisses DT Devaunte Sigler

10:41 AM ET 03.02 | Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn has dismissed defensive tackle Devaunte Sigler from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules, according to a release from the school. "We have high standards for our players," Malzahn said in a statement. "They will represent the team and Auburn the right way." Sigler, a junior from B.C. Rain in Mobile, made only two tackles as a backup for the Tigers last season.

According to court documents, Sigler is the defendant in a civil case with University Village Apartments for failing to pay his rent. Sigler owed University Village $2,408.97. University Village filed the claim on Feb. 5 and filed an order on Friday asking for a default judgement that has not been signed by the judge yet. Doesn't Cecil Newton have some extra money from his church??? Maybe Cecil could pay off Sigler's past rent bill!!!! :-)
