04:18 PM ET 03.02 | After discovering that big man Jason Smith will miss the remainder of the season with a torn labrum, the New Orleans Hornets are expected to sign D-League center Henry Sims to a 10-day contract this weekend. A Georgetown product that went undrafted last year, Sims played with the Chicago Bulls in the summer league and spent time with the New York Knicks during the preseason, but he's spent all season with D-League's Erie Bayhawks. In 36 games with Erie, Sims has averaged 17.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

I watched Sims in several NBADL games. He's got a solid skill set... I think it'll transition well into th Big Show.

QUOTE(#4):

Are you taking a shot at your Knicks? lol

Kinda sounds like a shot at the Knicks and the Heat.

But bare in mind that those teams are trying to make it to the championship. They really can't afford to take a chance on unproven and inexperienced players helping them get/maintain a high play-off seed.

N.O., on the other hand, are simply playing out the string. They NEED to take this oppotunity to 'discover' raw/untapped talent.
