04:29 PM ET 03.02 | San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker will be out about four weeks with a Grade 2 sprain to his left ankle, the team announced Saturday. It's a major blow in the short-term to a Spurs team that's dominated the league behind Parker this season, posting a league-best 46-14 record thus far this season. "He's playing better than any other point guard in the league consistently through the year. We will miss him," coach Gregg Popovich said. Parker sustained the injury in the third quarter of San Antonio's blowout win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday.

Parker should be back by the 28th, which means the Spurs will play 11 games. They would have to lose 5 and the Clips would have to go undefeated in that stretch for the Spurs to drop to third. I don't see that happening.

If SA can still hold on to the #1 seed by playoffs, Pop gets COY.

And even if LA overcomes Houston for the final spot, they are not beating the Thunder.

They'll still get the best record in the league. OKC has been losing some games also. Lakers should be worried about the games in front of them and not put themselves in the playoffs already. Houston is pretty steady right now. This is also the time of year where Nash's minutes has to be limited to keep him fresh for the playoffs if they make it.

Blake is playing better than Nash right now. But LA's defense will be their Achiles heel.
