09:46 AM ET 03.03 | Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. has been the most impressive young hitter in Florida. If he pushes his way into a job, it would allow GM Ben Cherington to deal Jacoby Ellsbury, who seems certain to leave as a free agent after this season.

Ellsbury will be dealt this year, it's just a matter of when.

Ellsbury to Arizona for Wade Miley?

Ellsbury to Seattle for one of the young pitching prospects such as Walker or Hultzen?

ellsbury to the halos for a couple minor leaguers, and by the end of the season ellsbury would be a free agent why??because that's the way halos do things in anaheim,,just to let them do the walking,,roll eyes to the greinke trade!!

Ellsbury to Da Knicks for Amre!!!

Why can't they play both of them? It's not like they broke the bank for Gomes. Victorino you're kind of stuck with but they could easily play Bradley in Left.

There you go.

Not to mention Ellsbury could play left as well and he wouldn't have to worry about getting run over by Adrian Beltre this time.

I'm just as excited about the potential of the two young pitchers obtained from the Dodgers. De La Rosa and Webster have been lighting it up in spring training with both pitchers reaching the mid to high 90's on the radar gun.

Move Kemp to RF to save his legs, puts Ells in CF, and the Dodgers would then have their leadoff man. Ethier in RF in Boston would fit.

What's wrong with that idea?

Yes. I would have been thrilled with the Dodgers simply taking the contracts of A Gon, Crawford and Beckett...but to get two good young pitchers in the deal too!?

Thank you, LA.

Well it'd be great for the Dodgers, only problem is Ellsbury is worth a whole lot more than Ethier.

IMO Beckett and Gonzalez are gonna have HUGE years this season. I think Red Sox fans will be regretting this trade in about two months.

Beckett always dominates odd numbered years.

Agone yes, but he wasn't happy in Boston. Beckett needed to go and Crawford will never come close to living up to that contract. I really doubt any Sox fan will end up regretting this deal.
