10:02 AM ET 03.03 | In the 17th minute of the match between the hometown Philadelphia Union and Sporting Kansas City at PPL Park, Union striker Sebastien Le Toux latched on to a cross from Keon Daniel and beat Sporting goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen for the first goal of the 2013 season. For the second consecutive season, the French forward had kicked off an MLS opening weekend with the first goal of the year. Last season Le Toux was in a Vancouver Whitecaps kit when he scored four minutes into Vancouver's showdown against the Montreal Impact. Then he took a pass from Eric Hassli, punched it over the defender and ran on to punch it under the Impact keeper for a swift commencement to the league's goal scoring in 2012.
