07:27 AM ET 03.04 | The official start of NFL Free Agency is just over a week away and there is a lot of speculation regarding Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Jake Long. While the belief is that Long is seeking $11 million annually in his new contract, an interesting point could make it hard for Long get a contract that pays him the amount he is hoping for. There are some teams that view Long as a right tackle. If the teams interested in Long view him as a potential right tackle, there is no way that they will invest over $10 million for a player at that position. When you look at his options, it is simple: Long is just asking for too much money and that is going to be scaring teams off. Don't be surprised if he ends up re-signing with the Dolphins on a deal that pays $6 ??? $7 million per year.

If Long goes for $6m and gets back to his old form at RT, he will be a steal.
If Dallas took a swipe and it played out, that would be a huge boost on the line for them.
