08:28 AM ET 03.04 | Goaltending depth is such a problem in Florida that the team signed its goalie coach, 39-year-old Robb Tallas, to a one-day contract to serve as the emergency goalie. A Panthers source said [starter Jose Theodore] didn't tear knee ligaments in Saturday's loss to Carolina. RDS, the French-language arm of TSN, Canada's ESPN, reported that Theodore sustained a torn groin. The injuries prompted the recall of goalie Jacob Markstrom and defenseman Nolan Yonkman from San Antonio. Markstrom didn't start the game as the Panthers backup, nor did he work warmups. Those tasks fell to [Tallas]. According to Santos, United Airlines didn't put Markstrom's equipment on his San Antonio to Fort Lauderdale flight.

And last year everybody was raving about Florida's 3 "solid" goaltenders.
Things change quick.

It's either feast or famine. I'm jealous of teams that have the luxury of #1A and #1B goalies, like Chicago.

I often go down and play some hockey with my buddies that live in mexico. Never had luggage problems in Mexico...always have problems in Texas.

After his first AHL performance he just might! 5G on 12 shots against the Pee-Wee Rags team. Simply awful.

Well they might end up like St Loo where #1 is injured and 1A has played pathetic. It wasn't that long ago that people questioned the Hawks tandem

Well as both airports are destinations for professional hockey teams enough to make sure the luggage gets on the right plane at the right time
