Rangers, Oilers consider goalie swap?
Would the New York Rangers settle for the sixth overall pick for Al Montoya? New York will probably take any top pick to move their former first-round goaltender who's been a very good AHL netminder in Hartford, but now finds himself wedged behind Henrik Lundqvist on Broadway. Problem is, the Oilers have Jeff Deslauriers and Devan Dubnyk on the horizon as young goalies. They don't need another young tender.

Lundqvist is the franchise. Losing him would ruin the momentum, timing, and chemistry. Horrible if it actually happened.

Lundqvist right now is becoming one of the best goalies in the league and I believe the Rangers front office shares that opinion. A good back-up is always a plus, but Weekes didn't play that bad this season, so why not trade for a top pick? If they're a guy out there they like, go for it.

Re-read the article guys, they are not talking about King Henrik, they are talking about Al Montoya.

The Oilers have picks to spare in what looks to be a weak draft. Roloson isn't the long term answer in Edmonton (he's what? 36?). Moving a pick for a promising young netminder is not out of the question at all.
