04:22 PM ET 03.04 | The NHL announced that the 2013 entry draft will hold all seven rounds in one day. This will mark the first time that the entire draft will be held in a single day since 2006. In addition, the league also announced the new lottery system, which will make all 14 non-playoff teams to become eligible to obtain the No. 1 overall selection. The process will involve a lottery machine, which will contain 14 ping-pong balls. Four balls will be dispersed from the machine, which will create a four-digit sequence that will be compared against a probability chart, which will determine the lottery winner. Teams can fall no lower than one-spot due to the lottery. The other positions will be determined based upon the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Ping Pong balls...Oh my.

Only two things i love to see with Ping Pong balls:
1) Beer Pong
2) A hot stripper out on LI shooting them out of a certain orifice. Talk about control/aim

but now I can just find a place to disappear and block off one day exclusively for hockey mid-summer. My gf and I have an understanding about limits pertaining to discussing hockey post-season. Draft day & free agency are exceptions. This new format works for me.
