05:23 PM ET 03.04 | BYU and UConn announced Monday that they have agreed to a home-and-home series, with the first game to be played in 2014. The Cougars will play at UConn in the first meeting, then host the Huskies in Provo the following season. In a release, BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said he's looking forward to the series and giving fans an opportunity to travel somewhere they may not have been before. The Cougars and Huskies have never faced each other on the gridiron.

as a testament to why this shouldnt be a thing...the reason for it existing is that it would allow fans to travel someplace theyve never been.

not because of mutual respect for one anothers program...not because of the competition it will provide, not because of media considerations...
