06:21 PM ET 03.04 | The Kansas City Chiefs have made Dustin Colquitt the NFL's highest paid punter. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chiefs and Colquitt have agreed to terms on a five-year contract worth $18.75 million -- including $8.9 million in guaranteed money. Kansas City's punter averaged a career-high 46.8 yards-per-punt in 2012. Colquitt only allowed seven (8.4%) of his punts to go for touchbacks, and pinned opposing teams inside the 20-yard line 45 times -- good for an astounding 54.2%. Only Cardinals punter Dave Zastudil pinned opponents inside the 20 more times than Colquitt (46). Zastudil, however, punted the ball 29 more times than Colquitt did. Colquitt was drafted by Kansas City in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft, and has served as Kansas City's punter ever since. Barring his release in the middle of his new contract, Colquitt will remain with the Chiefs at least through the 2017 season.

KC paid way too much for a punter.
