08:10 AM ET 03.05 | As spring training rolls on, it seems Texas may be looking to add an arm at the back end of its rotation. [The Rangers] inquired Monday about Detroit Tigers right-hander Rick Porcello, a source told ESPNNewYork.com's Adam Rubin. On Sunday, two Rangers pitchers in contention for the spot each had outings to forget. Justin Grimm, a 24-year-old right-hander, had his second consecutive poor start, allowing six runs on six hits in 2 1/3 innings. Martin Perez, a 21-year-old left-hander, entered the game in the fifth inning. He walked the first two batters in the sixth and then was hit on the forearm by a line drive. X-rays revealed a fracture of the ulna that will sideline him for at least four weeks.

Ground ball pitcher in Arlington... as opposed to friggin' Lohse.

What's not to like?

Lohse has become a ground ball pitcher. That's why he was much more successful with St. Louis. He bought into Duncan's sinker/pitch to contact philosophy.

Harang may be available.

Lohse is carrying a heavy load of attachements in his back pack, and no team wants part of it!!!

If the TIGERS do a trade they would blow it.The TIGERS need a second baseman better than that loser they have now.But I hope that they keep Porcello and trade omar for a waterboy.

It would improve the team more if they got rid of Peralta rather than Infante. Peralta has no range and his bat was only decent, not nearly as productive as his 2011 season.

I would take more than Porcello to get Andrus.
