Baker irked by fellow manager's lineup

08:12 AM ET 03.05 | Reds manager Dusty Baker wanted to get Shin-Soo Choo, who had missed three games with tightness in his right quad, back in the lineup Monday as a DH. Or, at least, that was the plan. The Reds had to scratch Choo from the lineup because Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson decided not to use the designated hitter. He wanted to get pitcher Brandon McCarthy, who is coming over from the American League, an at-bat. [Baker] was not happy about the move. "Hey man, he wanted his pitcher to hit," Baker said. "I wanted Choo to DH." ... Baker and Gibson had words at home plate. "It wasn't very pleasant," Baker said. "That's how it goes." Gibson wanted to shake hands. "Oh, no," Baker said. "It's over."

Baker does't get along with anyone. I wonder how often Baker checks on the goals of the opposing manager before making decisions.

This is Dusty assuming he will get what he wants and gibson deciding to say no. If they wanted to solve it they could have. By the way Dusty Choo could jut pinch hit for someone. (of course if i was gibson i would have walked him intentionally just to piss you off)

Classy move, Dusty. Gibson had every right to do what he did. Baker didn't get his way so he refused to shake hands.
