12:48 PM ET 03.05 | The Oakland Raiders may be on the verge of parting ways with punter Shane Lechler, who is set to become a free agent on March 12. Lechler was selected by the Raiders in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, and he has spent his entire career in Oakland. However, Lechler's contract may be a bit too pricey for the Raiders, who have other needs to fill. He signed a four-year, $16 million deal back in 2009. If Lechler, a Texas native, does move on from Oakland, he may be interested in joining the Houston Texans.
