Falcons extend Antone Smith

02:59 PM ET 03.05 | The Atlanta Falcons and running back Antone Smith agreed to a two-year contract extension on Tuesday, a week before Smith was set to become a free agent. Smith doesn't contribute much to the Falcons' offense -- he has one carry in his career -- but he plays a significant special teams role. Smith has been with Atlanta since the 2009 season, and he's been a member of the 53-man roster since 2010.
