05:15 PM ET 03.05 | The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled forward Eric Wellwood from the team???s American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms on Tuesday morning. The move is likely to add depth in the event that a player is injured, as forward Harry Zolnierczyk was suspended four-games for an illegal hit on Ottawa Senators defenseman Mike Lundin on Saturday afternoon. Wellwood had started the year with the Flyers before being reassigned. Largely playing as a fourth line center, he averaged 9:25 of ice-time during his time with the team. As of Tuesday afternoon, it appears the Flyers will opt to play Mike Knuble in the place of Zolnierczyk. Knuble has been a healthy scratch in the last two games.

Knuble has some miles on him but he plays hard and can do the job for a short time anyway.

You could bring Crosby in... it would not help. The defense is so slow and incompetent. The best thing that could happen is missing the playoffs and try your luck in the lottery. Also have to buyout a goualie who can't stop any breakaway or shootout
