Thomas Vanek expected to return on Tuesday

05:16 PM ET 03.05 | Thomas Vanek is expected to return to the Buffalo Sabres lineup for their game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Vanek told the team???s official twitter account that he was going to play in the game. If that turns out to be the case, it will mark the first game Vanek has played in after missing two games this weekend. Suffering from an undisclosed upper-body injury, Vanek was unable to play against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday or New York Rangers on Sunday. Despite the absence of their leading scorer, the Sabres registered points in both games.
