07:53 AM ET 03.06 | It took all of four seconds for Terrell Sinkfield to enter the national sporting conversation. [Sinkfield] knew he was fast. The stopwatches timing his 40-yard dash Monday at the University of Minnesota's pro day said he was fast, too. Almost too fast to believe. Sinkfield, a former wide receiver at Northern Iowa, clocked in at 4.19 seconds in his second attempt in the 40-yard dash. That's faster than the NFL Combine record of 4.24 seconds, set by Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson in 2008. So how on earth did Sinkfield do it? "Just some determination," Sinkfield said. "That was the expectation, really. Aim big. I was trying to get that 4.1."

If I lived in northern Iowa, I'd run like hell, too.

Where is Al Davis when you need him? This guy would be a first rounder if he was still calling the shots.

If he can field kickoffs and punts, that speed could make for fun returns, regardless if he becomes a good receiver.

Too bad Al (Davis) isn't around; this guy would be our (yes I am a Raiders fan) first round pick.
Catching the ball would be secondary (bad pun)

So tomorrow all the MOCK DRAFTS will have Kansas City using their #1 overall pick on Terrell Sinkfield. That will be quit a leap from #497 to #1 because of a 40 time.

I agree. He comes from a 1A school that had a run first philosophy for his first 3 years, and then had a freshman QB in his senior year. He appears to have the skills on film but he just hasn't caught the ball enough over the course of 4 yrs for scouts to even consider rating him.

There were other clocks there that had him at 4.35 too. My take is, he will slow down considerably when he runs into a bone crushing Safety. More than likely without ball in hand.
There have been many a fast receiver who left the ball on the ground more often than not.

Why not just join the pro track circuit? Speed means nothing without talent, skill and football IQ
