08:04 AM ET 03.06 | The "pop" Mark Teixeira felt on Tuesday, unfortunately, had nothing to do with his hitting of a baseball. The Yankees rightfully are concerned that [Teixeira's] right wrist strain will cost the first baseman more than the World Baseball Classic. Speaking during [Tuesday] night's 2-0 loss to the Braves at George M. Steinbrenner Field, general manager Brian Cashman didn't paint an optimistic canvas. Teixeira felt a pop during a tee drill before Team USA faced the White Sox in an Arizona exhibition game. An MRI exam showed a strain, but Cashman and manager Joe Girardi are leery the ramifications could be worse than the original diagnosis.

I just do not want to see Cashman bring in some stop gap vet that you are stuck with for the next four years....**** up this year, unload the contracts you can next year and start over....

Well this makes my decision about one of my fantasy league five keepers a tad easier now. Sorry, Tex you go back into the draft pool.

Put at Youk at 1B till Tex is ready. That's his best position anyway.

QUOTE(#8):

tex won't be out as long as arod <crosses fingers>plus who's playing 3rd then?it's a lot easier to toss someone in there at 1st than at 3rdWe MUST keep that error machine, nunez, off the field as much as possible

If I am a glove manufacturer, I do not allow Nunez to use my product in a game. Bad advertising. They are trying to fix his throwing. Jeesh, don't you have to catch the ball first?

What next? I wonder if somebody someplace has a collection of Yankee voodoo collectibles?

Not good for a guy that traditionally starts out slowly

everything about WBC it was been expected just nobody knew what to expect or when to expected/texeira and many more players would be facing tough injuries/suddenly therre is a injury rash much alike prone-injury player/but shouldn't every team had have protected their investments???perhaps new york should blame the rats from the bronx and just move on,,,,

the yankees DO HAVE OPTIONS,,,they just have to act and move wisely,,,granderson most go through any trade and the yanks could be able to save some money at the end/plus getting anything in exchange from this guy should be helpfull!!
