Time to gut the Flames?

"They've been talking about it for three years," forward Alex Tanguay said of the rumour-mongers across the hockey world insisting it's time to gut the Flames.

And if your team's management had a clue, they would've done it three years ago, rather than signing guys like you.

Hartley's comments said it all last night when he said:

"Winning games should be the only priority on our list, right now," head coach Bob Hartley said. "Whoever plays goal, whoever plays centre, whoever sings the national anthem, it's not a priority for me, right now.

So its simple win games and stop worrying about who is singing the national anthem. After that it gets even easier. First team to offer a 1st round pick a top prospect gets Iginla and first team to offer a stick of gum and some rolaids get Mikka.

Come Chiarelli, make this happen. Iginla is there for the taking, offer up Ryan Spooner and a good pick or two and get it done. Oh yeah, throw in Andrew Ference while you're at it so no one gets lost on their way to Calgary.

Wishful thinking...Boston has more of a chance to land Morrow...he'd be a solid addition to the Bruins.
