01:15 PM ET 03.06 | The Vikings created another opening at their thinnest position on Tuesday by releasing veteran Michael Jenkins, clearing $3.25 million of space under the salary cap. Jenkins played two seasons of the three-year contract he signed with the Vikings after the lockout ended in 2011. He was due a roster bonus of $2.425 million on March 16 and a base salary of $825,000 for 2013, so the move was hardly surprising.

It is their second thinnest position. Having a QB who can accurately deliver the ball to WR's is their thinnest position.

Mr. Dark this will be number 7 second full year as a starter, all he needs is a couple of receivers who can get separation from dbacks and then see if he can play or not.

He played in 11 games his rookie season and 16 games last season, so he's had a fair amount of time to establish himself. I don't have anything against the kid, but he definitely struggled as the season went on last year. If he didn't have the best running back in the league having the second greatest year rushing the football ever, things would have gotten very ugly up in MN.

Gotta clear space to bring in some real WRs, but I agree QB is still a huge question mark.
