05:36 PM ET 03.06 | The Big East football schools will keep roughly $100 million of a $110 million pot after the Catholic 7 basketball schools leave the conference this year. The money, which is made up mostly of entry and exit fees, as well as from the NCAA tournament, will go in large part to UConn, South Florida, and Cincinnati, but the other new Big East football schools will get a slice as well. Since 2011, the Big East has lost 16 schools to other conferences, including the Catholic 7, and as a result, received only a six year deal worth $130 million for their TV rights from ESPN.

Nominations for a new name for the conference formerly know as the Big East (since the Catholic 7 get to keep the Big East name) will now be accepted from the floor. Seconds are not required.
