A place in today's NFL for changed VY?

08:04 AM ET 03.07 | Vince Young is looking for work, yes, and he says he's sorry. [This] is what men do when they are reflective. Or, broke. Young needs a job, and repairing his image is required. But according to those around him, this isn't just a public-relations campaign. Young has a family and a plan; when he isn't working out, he's working toward his degree. What might save him, however, isn't just that he's changed. The NFL has, too. ... Young never ran what Robert Griffin III or Russell Wilson did this past season, and it's a trend that makes Johnny Manziel an intriguing NFL talent despite traits that also aren't traditional. Young should benefit the same way.

He doesn't have the head.

Hey Vince, finish up your degree and go get a teaching job at a high school and do some coaching. You can live a pretty good life just like the rest of us.

That's probably not the worst advice anybody has ever given VY. An about to be 30 Vince Young isn't the same thing as a early to mid 20's RGIII or Russell Wilson.

$5,000 a week spent at the cheesecake factory? Heck, he should get a job there. He knows the product.

He got his accountant to take out a $300K loan, once the guy told him he was broke... To throw a birthday party. This is one of the loans he said he never requested.

Actually - he could do all the above, go back to Austin and just be Vince Young.

He would never have to pay for a meal.

Vince and Jamarcus trying comebacks at the same time... Good luck, guys. You're gonna need it.

"Young never ran what Robert Griffin III or Russell Wilson did this past season"....This claim is the most irresponsible and completely false comment possible. At Texas, Young ran tons of what RGIII runs in Washington in regard to the Shotgun set zone read. For 3 years, 90+% of Young's rushing yards (including those in the 2005 National title win over USC) came solely from exercising the zone read QB keep out of the shotgun. The offense RGIII ran in Washington this year is very, very similar to the UT offense under Vince Young. BTW, I wathed tons of VY and RG3 in person in college. Austin is near both UT and Baylor. Come on Man...don't make wild, bold criticisms which your entire article premise is based upon and have no clue about the subject at hand.

+1. What makes RGIII and Wilson good (and possibly great given time) is that they have the brains to go with the athleticism.

It will be interesting to see what a bankrupt, old QB is demanding. Other teams that could use him are; Oakland, Cleveland, or any city that ends in land.

It would be a great story if one or both of these guys could actually make a comeback and be successful. Odds are against it but I'd sure watch and root for both of them!

Raiders, Jaguars, and Browns are teams that can give VY a tryout.

Why? Seems like all the troubles they've encountered they've brought on themselves.
