Brad Richards does not have concussion

03:53 PM ET 03.07 | New York Rangers forward Brad Richards stated that he does not have a concussion when he met with the assembled media on Thursday afternoon. Richards had been hit head first into the boards by Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta on Sunday afternoon. Richards stated that he would not be forced to miss an extended period of time due to the injury, but would not be available for Thursday night???s game against the New York Islanders. It will be the second consecutive contest he missed. Richards was unable to provide a time-table for a return but stated that he would not be out for an extended period of time.
