Titans targeting Umenyiora, Freeney and Abraham

07:30 PM ET 03.07 | The Tennessee Titans were so preoccupied with signing Peyton Manning last season that they lost out on signing Mario Williams and effectively struck out altogether in free agency. This year though, the Titans are going to go hard after a top-notch defensive end and they already have a list of names they will be pursuing. Tennessee is expected to make a run after Osi Umenyiora, Dwight Freeney, Cliff Avril and John Abraham, once tampering becomes legal this weekend. Many believe that Umenyiora is going to be the guy the Titans covet the most, but Pro Football Talk suggests that John Abraham may end up being the guy that falls into its lap. Unlike last season, Abraham is likely going to be the Titans Plan-B if negotiations fall through with someone higher on their wish list. But if one thing is certain, it's that the Titans are going to go hard after a defensive end and they have no distractions this offseason to pull them away from fully investing themselves in pursuing whoever they want.

Pay the G-Men, that's right!

If John Abraham can fit them on to his DL List, it might be a good deal for him but a very, I say very bad deal for them!

You can add Dallas to that list as well.

My money is on Dallas getting Osi and trading Spencer.

Spencer is over $10m for the Boys vs prob around $4-5m for Osi and similar production.

Even Abraham is a good move on a 1-2 year deal for similar dough.

Freeney is not himself...not sure about that one.

Might as well say "Titans targeting old guys that will be overpaid who used to be good"

Titans should sign both of them, and have a good rotation of guys and schemes steal a little bit of the giants philosophy of 3 de. At times and 3 dt I mean u can't go wrong with it and if there are injuries ur in the safe zone, I mean give Abraham a 3 or 4 year deal worth 26 mill 14 mill guaranteed if u do 3 make a 4th team option, and with psi, give him a 5 year 33 mill 15 also millguarentee with te 5th being a an option both players should have the clause of incentives of a couple mill based on performance.. And in the draft if warmack or cooper are available at 10 potentially take safety's from Texas top safety or trade back get some pics maybe a 1st this year and 2nd next year or 1st 2nd and 4th.. If they trade back into the late teens or early 20s pick Desmond trufant that's my home state and trust me he's gonna be the next champ bailey or derrell revis... He's got speed he's physical enough to disrupt the receiver at the line and he's got great coverage skills.. Pick a center or guard as a second round pick.. Also another thought in Fa sign Stephen Jackson as ur complimentary back can give him as cj2k 30-35 carries ad u can use cj in the slot while having him in the backfield which makes the defense behonest, just saying give him a t 4 year deal with 12 mill with 4 as an opt. And release Amano and see if hutch. Will restructure to free up 1 mill or 1.5 see what u can get a with will Witherspoon maybe a 5th rd pick and get another ilb if teo is available in the 2nd consider him as a back up or McCarthy as a bak pending on how he runs on pro day if not use a 3rd pic. On ilb titans need help on both sides of the ball and possible think about trading britt maybe get Wallace or another premier receiver he had been a good player with healthy but he had no chemistry with locker, I should be a gm.. I play lots of madden and maybe those are bizzare hypotheticals or suggestions but all that woulda me titans much more feared we are young but boasting some leadership would nurture these young guys,

I think the Gettysburg Address was shorter than that.
