Calipari blaming himself for 'crap job' at Kentucky

08:11 AM ET 03.08 | This year's tournament bid for Kentucky may be spelled N-I-T, thanks to Thursday's 10-point loss at Georgia. [Kentucky] surely made Florida overly confident going into Saturday's can't-get-here-soon-enough regular-season finale. The familiar problems of the season re-asserted themselves. No reliable go-to guy. No defensive stopper. ... Coach John Calipari had called the last two road performances "abysmal." By that standard, the loss to Georgia fit the unsightly polka dots-with-stripes pattern. "It's the same stuff," Willie Cauley-Stein said. "Different day." Rather than blame the players, who soldier on without Nerlens Noel, Calipari blamed himself. "I've done a crap job with this team," he said.

If a team loses one player and folds up the tent, the coach SHOULD take the blame.

Yeah but it's a little late. He threw his players under the bus a couple of weeks ago in the media. He said some of them were just "uncoachable".

What a jerk.

I certainly appreciate Izzo. I just can't get into the b'ball game. I will say that I follow MSU during the tournament. Other than that, not really.

who the hell is slime ball Cal going to blame Joe B. hall or Adolph Rupp. The stench off Calipari permeates all of college basketball. No matter how much Calipari wins he will always stink and smell rotten.

Okay, now I am starting to worry. I am agreeing with you more and more. Also, this is probably the nicest thing you have had to say about anyone lately.
