12:31 PM ET 03.08 | With the conference currently known as the Big East about to undergo major changes, the Big 12 may be in line to take the Big East's tie-in to the Russell Athletic Bowl. The Big East is set to lose seven basketball-only schools, add a few schools for football and change its name. With so much up in the air, it's no surprise the Russell Athletic Bowl may want a more stable partner. The bowl currently takes the No. 2 team from the Big East, and it's unclear where in the pecking order it would fall for the Big 12. If the move is made, it will likely take place in 2014, pairing a Big 12 team against the No. 3 team from the ACC.

I had to google this to figure out which bowl this is/was. It was the Champs Sports Bowl. It's held in a Orlando around Dec 28th. Sort of a precursor to the Captial One Bowl on New Years Day. That being said, where will it rank with other Big 12 bowls? Is it a better bowl than the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl?

I know b12 is trying to get out of the Pinstripe bowl.

I think it would slot between the Holiday Bowl and the Meineke Car Care Bowl
