04:00 PM ET 03.08 | The Boston Bruins are reportedly engaging in discussions with forward prospect Carl Soderberg, according to Darren Dreger of TSN. Soderberg is currently playing with Linkopings of the Swedish Elite League and leads all players in scoring with 31 goals and 29 assists for 60 points. The Bruins acquired Soderberg via trade with the St. Louis Blues in 2007, which means he would not require waivers to join the team. According to Dreger, Soderberg is considering signing with the club following the end of Linkopings??? season. Soderberg is described as a forward capable of playing center or wing on the Bruins??? second line.

Forget about him. He's just another soft Swede. Trade him to the Wings for Todd Bertuzzi. He's just what you need to make a run at the Cup. ;-)

Nice try Roamer.

I'd prefer that the B's trade for a known NHL top 6 winger since this kid is racking up those gaudy point totals against some pretty weak competition. Maybe he'd be able to step right in and contribute, but I wouldn't take the chance.

Not saying I don't want the kid to come the U.S. and give it a try, just that I want Boston to get a certified power forward before the deadline. If Soderberg comes over and contributes then it's all gravy.

The Bruins are missing something this season..its game 21 and i still havent seen their best game..maybe this kid will give the team a much needed spark...i say sign the kid for the remainder of the season..seeing how Boston has tons of cap space....give him a solid look-see..if there's no chemistry, go out and attempt to get a top 6 forward...the time is now tho..make it happen now.

I don't think their second line needs any help.

I agree. Why break up a good thing. The third line, on the other hand, blows one scoring chance after another.

DONT put him on the 2nd line IF u keep him.

The Bruins will be a different team with this kid from Sweden... I would practice Jagr Krecji Soderberg on the same line as line one....Seguin Bergeron Marchand line 2.....Lucic Peverley Horton line 3....Paille Campbell Kelly line 4..... Thorton, Caron, Daugavins as reserves.....Peter Chiarelli make it happen, it looks totally awesome on paper......Goooo Bruins......
