Cowboys won't bring back Mike Jenkins

04:19 PM ET 03.09 | Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins is looking for a fresh start and could generate a lot of interest on the free agent market, but it will not be from the Cowboys. The Cowboys are not expected to bring back Jenkins, but he is generating interest from a number of clubs. A fresh start could be exactly what Jenkins needs to revive his career. Jenkins made the Pro Bowl in 2009 and has 48 career starts. With the Cowboys adding Morris Claiborne in last year's draft and Brandon Carr during the free agency period a year ago, the 2008 first-round pick is no longer a necessary asset in the Cowboys secondary.

Dude lacks confidence and occasionally forgets how to tackle.

Not even if he had an umbrella.

Maybe they could bring in Leeroy Jenkins. I hear he's got energy and aggressiveness.

He was good from time to time but he was extremely inconsistent. Super unpredictable.

I always liked Jenkins but I'm not especially sad to see him go.
