James Harrison interested in playing for the Patriots

I see A LOT of interest in this thread.

I think he had the greatest Super Bowl play ever, but he he's a ****. Nope, sign with Fox Sports or the CFL. I don't need a diva attitude, which he did have. No denying that.

Isn't he the one that gets called for bad hits all the time, don't think the Patriots need that, even if he is a good player otherwise.......

I hope Belichick nixes any trade for Harrison. They don't need a meatball like that.

I don't see it happening. But, it I love that he wants it.

No trade necessary. He was cut Saturday and is now A UFA.

Kind of surprised that the team cut him, but business is business. His last great year was 2008, because he's had a hard time staying healthy. Whether it's his back or his leg, he keeps expecting to be able to use the regular season to get healthy, and he's missed quite a few games in the last couple of years.

As for the Pats thing, I could actually see it happening. The Hoodie has a fairly long history of picking people up with the main intention being a chance at picking their brains. Gathering specific, intimate knowledge of the Steelers defense would be worth putting him on the team for a year. If he plays well, and doesn't draw too many penalties, he might be worth keeping around.

He would add a lot on a part time basis!!!!

If Bee-hop can win @ 48, Harrison should win 35, congratulations Bernard Hopkins, you make us old guys PROUD!!!

That's an interesting view. Hoodie probably brings him in for training camp, sucks the knowledge out like a tic on a dog then cuts him. That would be about right.

Hated to see him go but it was a foregone conclusion. The sad thing was, when he was healthy last year he was still our best pass rusher. I'd say he instantly becomes the Pats #1 pass rusher the minute he were signed, if it were to happen. He did lots of great things here, I'd like to see him catch on somewhere good.

James might be interested in playing for the Pats but the Pats are not going to be interested in paying him the kind of money he wants
