09:52 AM ET 03.10 | Bulls general manager Gar Forman reiterated Saturday there is no communication rift between Derrick Rose's camp and the organization regarding the return date for the All-Star guard from his left knee injury. "We talk all the time -- high-level communication," Forman told the Tribune on Saturday before scouting the DePaul-Pittsburgh game at Allstate Arena. Forman said he would not comment on an ESPN.com report Friday that a source said Rose has medical clearance to resume playing after suffering a torn ACL 10 months ago. The Tribune reported the story caught Rose off guard as it appeared to place pressure on him to return. Medically, Rose actually received clearance on Feb. 18 to scrimmage full court. It was a decision that wouldn't have been made if there was a risk of re-injury related to the original tear.

Take The Season Off, Bro.

I think he has been given some bad advice from someone.
it appears as if Rose has this idea that he will come back 'when he's ready' and play 40 minutes the first night, nave no soreness and be ready to go another back to back the next night.

no matter when he comes back- he will be sore, he will not be in prime shape and he will not be able to log big minutes. He needs to get back out there now-
if he waits til next season???
he's going to have 6 months to think about think=gs - bad

get out there Drose- start slow, work yourself back to you

I don't think he is receiving bad advice from anyone. He should not come back to play until he is 100% mentally ready. He should come back when he feels completely comfortable -in his head - doing everything he normally does on a basketball court. I don't think it's about him being unrealistic about back to backs and soreness and mins limits. He just wants to have full confidence in his knee before he comes back. That's smart.

He's been practicing. Going 5 on 5. He is working to get that confidence. It will come back.

I hear you-
maybe I should rephrase....
I think it is impossible to be 100% mentally ready until you actually get back on the court and play real games. So I think his mind-set is all wrong
I think the longer he delays, the worse that 'fear' gets

It doesn't really matter if DRose is burning bridges with the management. What does matter is , he's letting his team mates down, if he's cleared to play, and doesn't want to!!!!

Losing respect of your fellow players is the worst thing that you can do, as a player. DRose needs to play, if medically cleared. Period!!

Not a great idea. Look at what's happening to players who comes back too early. Would you want him to be another Amar'e or Brandon Roy? His career is on the line here. If he needs to wait 6 more months then let him wait. There's no rush...

not sure what you are talking about-
he has been medically cleared to play....by the doctors
it is not a physical thing anymore - its a mental hurdle
and anyway...
this is not the same 'degenerative' injury those other 2 had

Rose is a drama queen. Either come back this year or don't. All this guy wants is attention.
