Kory Lichtensteiger agrees to new deal with Redskins

10:25 AM ET 03.10 | Left guard Kory Lichtensteiger and the Redskins agreed in principle Saturday night to terms of a new contract that will keep him off the free agent market. The deal is for five years, according to a person who requested anonymity because the Redskins did not publicize the agreement. Financial terms were not available. Lichtensteiger did not respond to a request for comment Saturday night, but after the season ended he expressed his desire to re-sign with the Redskins and continue playing for coach Mike Shanahan, who drafted him in the fourth round in Denver in 2008. ???At this point, I???m going to be going into my sixth year,??? he said. ???I???m not a young guy anymore, so you want to get something that can set you up pretty good for later in life, take care of your family. But at the same time you want to be happy where you???re working, and I feel I???m definitely going to be the most happy working here and playing for Mike and being a Redskins.???
